Japanese Fashion Exhibition Sustainable fashion through creativity   Açıklama: Sustainable fashion is become a crucial matter not only for the fashion industry but also for our eco-system. As the Fashion Design Department in Raffles College of Higher Education, we wanted to overcome these issues starting from the design stage. Japanese Fashion Exhibition is part of the Raffles KL’s Sustainability Project, in which we aimed to build a remarkable understanding of circular fashion to create awareness & adding value to sustainable fashion. Each piece is consist of combining different types of post-consumer waste including secondhand clothing & secondhand textiles. For the techniques, upcycling, reconstruction, Japanese stitching & fabric construction methods are used.   Projeyi Gör
ECO - Rangoli Project Naturally dyed recycled fabrics   Açıklama: Students worked on various types of weaving, knitting, colouring and natural fabric dying techniques to complete Rangoli design patterns. Created in collaboration with Intermark KL and Raffles College of Higher Education Kuala Lumpur. Handwoven Kolam made of recycled fabric, each dyed using natural ingredients to raise social awareness of recycling and repurposing. This handcrafted artwork was created by Raffles KL Fashion Design & Fashion Marketing students over a duration of 8 weeks, using techniques such as weaving, finger knitting, finger loom braiding, tie-dyeing & shibori tie-dyeing.   Projeyi Gör
